MUMBAI: Hindi entertainment channel Real is re-aligning its programming schedule from 20 April.
The channel has included an afternoon movie block on a daily basis in the schedule, which will be aired from 2 – 5 pm.
Real Global Broadcasting president Sharada Sunder said, "Based on the viewer feedback over the last six weeks, we have introduced some changes in Real’s programming schedule, aimed at creating seamless slots of drama and reality genres within prime time hours. For the viewers, the changes would mean that they will be able to watch their favourite drama and reality shows back-to-back. We believe these changes will help in building loyalties among our Neo-Indian audiences."
The daily movie block during 2 – 5 pm time-slot will largely cater to its afternoon viewers. The channel’s fiction show Namak Haraam, starring Narayani Shastri and Sachin Tyagi, will now be aired from Monday to Thursday at 8:30 pm, instead of 9:30 pm.
The musical reality show, Sitaron Ko Choona Hai, which stars Raghu, Neha Bhasin and Prasant Samadhar as the faculty, has been made racier and crisper as it has been reduced to 30-minutes. The show will now be aired from Monday to Thursday at 9.30 pm. This show will lead the viewer into the reality show Sarkaar Ki Duniya at 10 pm.
