Mumbai: Ram Gopal Varma’s remake of his own Shiva has been facing delivery hurdles. The film is scheduled for September 15 release all over. It is rumoured that that RGV was facing various claims from his distributors and is in a financial mess. RGV owes huge sums of money to Ponty Chaddha in Delhi, K Sera Sera in the South and video distributor Surendra Suneja.
Now it is said that Manmohan Shetty of Adlabs has come to the rescue and is handling various claims to see the smooth delivery of the film.
Ram Gopal Varma was unavailable for comment. A spokesman from Adlabs on condition of anonymity said,”Shiva is backed by Adlabs, so we wouldn’t want to jeopardise the release. Adlabs has commited to RGV to back films only directed by Ramu and not his associates.”
