Saavn to offer Bollywood music on iTunes

MUMBAI: Saavn has announced a special edition card promotion to give away five of the hottest Bollywood dance tracks on the iTunes Store.

With this latest promotion, the New York and Mumbai-based digital media company Saavn is aiming to make hit music and movies from the Indian subcontinent accessible to audiences globally.

Saavn plans to distribute these special edition cards to consumers and media partners at promotional events across the country. These exclusive Bollywood music cards will have songs such as Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Kajra Re (Bunty Aur Babli), Dus Bahane (Dus), Jhalak Dikhlaja (Aksar) and Mehbooba (Aap Ka Surroor).

“We’re excited to be marking new ground in technology and music through this distribution relationship. We specifically chose five songs that have been chart-toppers in India, so that they can the same exposure, recognition and success worldwide,” said Saavn co-founder and general manager Vin Bhat.
