MUMBAI: After the success of his latest film Housefull, director Sajid Khan is back in action, working on his next script which is an action adventure film, to be produced by Vashu Bhagnani.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Khan said, “My next film will not be a comedy but it’s going to be a fun entertainer, an action adventure. That is all I can reveal at the moment because it’s still too premature to talk about it. We have not finalized the star cast and there is a lot of work as far as scripting goes too. I like to give more time to my pre-production and be well prepared before I actually start shooting. Even with Housefull, my pre-production took almost 18 months and we finished shooting the film in just 63 days.”
After the action adventure, Khan will be making a sequel to Housefull for Sajid Nadiawala. According to Khan, the cast will be the same along with a few more new actors and the sequel will also be made on a bigger scale.
“A lot of respected production houses have asked me to direct for them but I do not like to sign films left right and centre. Yes, being a director, I would like to start my third film as soon as possible but having said that, I don’t like to rush into things. I need to be clear and sure about what I am doing,” adds Khan.
The action adventure is slated to go on floors in early or mid 2011.
