MUMBAI: Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has decided to release the comic caper Housefull 2 right after the Indian Premier League next year.
The film scheduled to release on the first Friday after the IPL finals next year has had a long standing equation with sports specifically cricket. Keeping to the tradition, the team and cast of Housefull 2 is working on a tight schedule to make sure the film releases on the scheduled date.
Says a source, “Housefull was associated with the ICC World Twenty20 so also were Nadiadwala’s previous films like Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Heyy Babyy. This time around Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s Housefull 2 had its teaser promo out during the ICC World Cup season and the film is scheduled to see its release on the first Friday post the IPL 2012 and everyone on board is working around the clock to make sure that happens.”
Directed by Sajid Khan, Housefull 2 stars Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Asin, Zarine Khan, Shazahn Padamsee, Shreyas Talpade, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Mithun Chakraborty.
