MUMBAI: Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan came face to face and shot for their first item song together for the movie Bodyguard.

The song Aaya Re Aaya Bodyguard was shot at Film City where Kaif and Khan grooved together. The song will be featured as the title montage.

It was co-producer Atul Agnihotri and wife Alvira’s idea to ask Kaif to do an item number for the film. The chemistry between Khan and Kaif is said to be sizzling.

Interestingly, Khan’s real life bodyguard Shera makes his on-screen debut with this song and will be seen dancing and acting with Khan  and Kaif (as Kaif’s Bodyguard).

Since Shera was facing the camera for the first time, he was nervous. However, his co-stars eased his discomfort, with Khan helping him rehearse his dance moves.

“I can’t thank Salman bhai enough for the opportunity he has given me,” says Shera, whose real name is Gurmeet Singh.

Bodyguard is directed by Siddique and is a remake of the director’s 2010 Malayalam film of the same name. It stars Kareena Kapoor opposite Khan. The movie is slated to release this Eid on 31 August.
