The Dabangg Star took to his Twitter to apologise of his tweets and said, “I would like to unconditionally apologise for any misunderstanding I may have created unintentionally. My dad called  and said I should retract my tweets as they have the potential to create misunderstanding. I here by retract them,” the actor said.

Salman tweeted calling Yakub Memon, the man behind the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai, innocent. Yakub’s brother, Tiger Memon, the main accused in the case and who is absconding, should be hanged instead.

Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam also criticised the actor saying he should withdraw his ‘innocent man’ tweet in favour of Memon.

Tiger Memon has been absconding since the blasts that killed 260 people and injured 1,500 more.
Salman lashed out at Tiger Memon in about a dozen tweets posted early on Sunday, and also asked Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to confirm whether Tiger is in his country.

“Don’t hang brother, hang that lomdi who ran away,” the actor tweeted. “Get tiger hang him. He described Tiger Memon as a ‘lomdi’ or wolf and criticised him for remaining silent at a time when his brother is set to be hanged.Get tiger hang him. Parade him not his brother

Even the actors father, noted screenwriter Salim Khan, said Salman should not say anything about these kind of serious topics without any knowledge. He should not have made such a comment. Salman is ignorant of the issue and people should not take him seriously.

The actor also said killing Yakub would be killing humanity. After Salman Khan’s tweets, there were protests all over against him. As the protests grew and even posters of the actor’s latest movies were burnt at some spots, the Mumbai Police strengthened security outside his residence.
