MUMBAI: Sangeeth Sivan, who is currently working on the second schedule of his next horror film Click, is planning to expand his production house – Sangeeth Sivan Productions.
Apart from mulling over co-production deals and tying up with corporates, the director will be setting up an edit and post production system in place very soon.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com Sivan says, “For a long time this has been on my mind. We have the studio set-ups and a lot of equipments back home, so setting up an edit is the need of the hour. This will be followed by a post production arrangement. I am also looking out for more scriptwriters and dialogue writers. Though I already have a team, I intend to amplify its strength.”
On being quizzed about the status of inking deals with corporate honchos, he admits, “There have been many lucrative offers from a good number of corporate houses who are handling the business very well. But I will be very careful while zeroing in on a decision.”
Sivan clearly states that he will not direct for any other production house except his own banner. He adds, “Only if the deal gives me some breathing space will I direct movies under the co-production.”
He will soon be leaving for Mauritius for the second schedule of Click, which stars Shreyas Talpade and Rehan Khan. Sivan is also in talks with Vipul Shah for his next project. He states, “Vipul and I have been friends for quite some time now. We are working out details; things will fall in place after EK releases.” Ek‘s release is slated for mid-November.
The director-cum-producer also wants to move to comedy once again after Kya Kool Hain Hum and Apna Sapna Money Money. “After Click releases in March-April, I will start work on two movies, one comedy and the other thriller.”
