Rohit Shetty inks 2 film deal with Studio18

MUMBAI: Last year Rohit Shetty was one of the directors who was roped in for the two year co-production deal between Shree Ashtvinyak Cine Vision and Studio 18 for a sum of Rs 1 billion (Rs 100 crores). Now the director has another two-film deal with Studio 18.

Confirms Studio 18 CEO Sandeep Bhargava, “Yes, this deal was signed some time back. We are looking at various concepts now. The genre can be anything – comedy or action-comedy. But nothing has been decided as of now. We are evaluating concepts.”

Since the script has not been finalized, the company has not yet zeroed in on a budget.

Meanwhile, Shetty is currently busy with his upcoming film, Golmaal Returns. “I will start the TV 18 project as soon as I finish my other committments.”

Other than this, Shetty confesses that he is apprehensive of deals. “There are only four to five actors who are seen as being consistent. Many corporates are making their way in, but let’s see how it works. I don’t have any more deals on my agenda right now,” he says.
