Mumbai: Film director Sanjay Gadhvi whose next film Kidnap starring Sanjay Dutt, Imran Khan and Minissha Lamba is due for release on 2 October expects the two male leads to have an equal pull to draw audiences to theatres.
Considering that Kidnap is Khan’s second movie post Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’s success and Dutt is a far senior actor, the statement is quite a compliment for this youngest Khan on the block.
To second this, the TV promos of the movie also have the spotlight on Khan. "The promos are cut by the promo director, with the opinion of the producer. I have no say in it," informs Gadhvi.
With more and more youngsters comprising the audience for any movie and Khan having carved a niche for himself with his first movie itself, this may well be considered as a justified thought from the director.
