MUMBAI: Saregama India, the licensee in India for Paramount Home Entertainment Global, has released the acclaimed film An Inconvenient Truth on DVD and VCD. The film, which won two Oscars in 2007, presents a compelling and eye-opening view of the future of our planet – and our civilization. It gives a wake-up call that cuts through myths and misconceptions to deliver the message that global warming is a real and present danger.
An Inconvenient Truth brings home Al Gore’s persuasive argument that we must act now to save the Earth. Each and every one of us can make changes in the way in which we live our lives and become part of the solution. To spread the message to the grass root level, Saregama is also releasing the Hindi dub version of this film in February 2008.
The DVD includes special features like a 30-minute introduction by Gore, with updated information, the making of the film, a music video by Melissa Etheridge titled I Need to Wake Up, commentary by director Davis Guggenheim and a commentary by producers Lawrence Bender, Laurie David, Lesley Chilcott and Scott Z. Burns.
