Shakal Pe Mat Ja’s release pushed due to security reasons

MUMBAI: Shakal Pe Mat Ja, a film inspired by the ease with which bombs can be planted in Indian cities, is set to release on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. The film is a situational comedy about a bunch of youngsters who are keen to demonstrate that how easy it is to blow Delhi airport or any other prime locations in this country.

The film has been entirely shot at the Delhi airport. But due to the recent terror attacks the permission was withdrawn by the airport due to which the film had to go through a heavy loss.

Says a source, "Due to the recent terror attacks, the crew of SPMJ was not allowed to complete their schedule at the airport because of security reasons. But because of this the release date of the film had to be pushed. Initially the producers of SPMJ were planning to release the film on 9th September, 2011 (9-9-11). But now due to the delay in the schedule and the losses incurred the producers have pushed the date forward to 23rd September, 2011."

The movie stars Saurabh Shukla, Raghubir Yadav, Aamna Sharif, Umang Jain along with Shubh, Chitrak, Pratik, and Harsh. It is produced by Linc Entertainment (a division of Linc Pens) and co-produced by actress Hrishitaa Bhatt. It is written and directed by Shubh.
