Shemaroo acquires Staying Alive rights

MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. has acquired the worldwide rights of Staying Alive. The film is written and directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan.


Mahadevan says, “Staying Alive is a Hindi film with an English title. It is an offbeat black comedy. Saurabh Shukla are I will be playing the leads in the film. I canned this film in the midst of my three films Agar (starring Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Koena Mitra), Anaamika (starring Dino Morea, Aarti Chhabria, Koena Mitra and Minissha Lamba) and Victoria No. 203 (starring Anupam Kher, Om Puri, Jimmy Shergill, Sonia Mehra, Kamal Sadanah).”


Mahadevan further reveals, “Shemaroo has acquired the worldwide rights of the film. The film has a duration of 95 minutes and is in the form of 1:1 international wide screen format. The promos of the film will be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival this month. Before it is released the film will be screened at many of the competition section across various festivals.”
