MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment has released the home video of the colour version of B.R. Chopra’s Naya Daur.
The release of the coloured version of Naya Daur coincides with the golden jubilee year of the release of the black and white Naya Daur. It has taken two and a half years and a budget of more than Rs 30 million to give Naya Daur its new look. The film bagged three Filmfare awards –best actor, best music and best story.
The home video of this colourized Naya Daur comes with bonus features. The DVD is a special two disc autographed edition containing an exclusive booklet. The booklet is inclusive of interesting trivia, the colourisation process, memories related to Naya Daur and star quotes. The extra DVD features consist of autographs of Dilip Kumar and Vyajantimala; celebrity interviews with Karan Johar, Javed Akhtar, Yash Chopra, Ramesh Sippy and Ravi Chopra; deleted scenes; B.R. Chopra in conversation with Yash Chopra; Dilip Kumar’s and Asha Bhonsle’s speeches on Naya Daur.
