Mumbai: Shemaroo Entertainment will screen three movies at Cannes Film Festival 2008, which opens on 14 May. Apart from Shemaroo’s home production animated film Ghatothkach – Master of Magic, others include Bengali movie Anuranan starring Rahul Bose, Rajat Kapoor, Rituparna Sengupta, Raima Sen and also Mumbai Salsa which is directed by Vikram Bhatt.
Ghatothkach was the first Indian animated film to be promoted at the Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film is slated to release on 23 May, 2008 and it will be released in seven languages. Ghatothkach is a co-production between Shemaroo Entertainment and Sun Animatics. It is directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, who has earlier directed films like Pushpak, Appu Raja and Son of Alladin.
Anuranan is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. The movie released in January this year. Mumbai Salsa starred mostly newcomers and was released in October last year .
