Shetty bags multiple projects after Golmaal

MUMBAI: Post Zameen in 2003, it took three years for director Rohit Shetty to strike it rich. Now he is laughing his way to the bank.

Ashtavinayak’s Golmaal – Fun Unlimited has entered its eight week and with the film reaping good prospects at the box-office, Shetty is going places.

Golmaal-Fun Unlimited has proved to be a spectacular box-office hit. I am feeling very happy and proud that Golmaal-Fun Unlimited is running to packed houses. Even the DVDs released by Shemaroo are selling like hot cakes. I am happy that my producers have made profits,” says Shetty.

Strengthening his cinematic accomplishments, Shetty now has quite a few banners in his kitty. “I have signed films for Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, Shemaroo Productions, a film with Rohan Sippy and his partner and Ashtavinakyak Productions’ next action cum comedy venture. All are big-budget ventures and will be rolled out one after the other very soon.”
