MUMBAI : Shastri, who has earlier assisted Shashilal Nair, Indra Kumar and Gautam Pawar, says Tere Ishq Mein Paagal, a love story, is produced by lyricist-turned-producer Satyendra Upadhyay.
“We have already recorded three songs for the film in the voices of Sukhwinder Singh and Alka Yagnik. Music directors Naresh Sharma, Hansraj and Chandrama Chandrahi have provided the music score. Mukesh Duggal has penned the lyrics and Surendra Bedi, Ram Gautam and Sanjay Singh have nearly completed the scripting of the film. We have scope to include nine songs in the film, which is budgeted at around Rs 30 million (Rs three crore).” Santosh Mandal, who edited Apaharan, will work on this film, says Shastri.
The film will be shot in April with major shooting spells at Andaman and Nicobar Islands as well as parts of Mumbai, Shimla, Chandigarh, Bedaghat (near Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, where the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Asoka was shot) and Panchmarhi (a hill station near Bhopal).
Shastri has earlier directed television serials like Mamta, Mere Humsafar Mera Saaya, Mangalsutra and Mehboob Ki Mehndi for various channels.
