MUMBAI: Director Shyam Benegal has started work on his new film, post the release of Welcome To Sajjanpur. The director has signed Minissha Lamba for the film. However, not much is known about the project as of now.
When contacted by Businessofcinema.com, Lamba said, "Yes I am doing a film with Shyam babu." However, she was unwilling to divulge more information on the same. Post the success of her films, Shaurya and Bachchna Ae Haseeno, the actress has strengthened her footing in Bollywood. Although Kidnap did not do well at the box office, the critics were appreciative of Lamba’s work.
Benegal, who is known to make films with a different sensibility, struck a chord with the audiences with his very simple story of a letter writer in Welcome to Sajjanpur.
