MUMBAI: Director Ananth Mahadevan has recently completed the shooting for a film on the Naxalite movement called Red Alert.
The film stars; Suniel Shetty, Naseeruddin Shah, Ayesha Dharkar, Vinod Khanna, Sameera Reddy and Bhagyashree.
Mahadevan says, "Red Alert is a story about a farmer who wants to educate his children and hence goes to the city to work. Soon he realizes that he is aiding the Naxalite workers. Such a topic does not require the typical Hindi film flavor and so it is sans songs. The treatment is stark and real."
Shooting for Red Alert started in July last year and was completed in December. The film maker is confident that this film should make it to the festivals.
