SIVOO to offer LA Indian Film Fest content

MUMBAI: SIVOO, the Internet TV network of multicultural on-demand entertainment programming, has launched a new web site http://www.sivoo.com/hindi/en/iffla/, which is dedicated to the upcoming Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA).

Scheduled to take place from 17 to 22 April, 2007 at ArcLight Hollywood, IFFLA is the first and largest film festival in North America dedicated entirely to presenting Indian cinema. This is the second year in a row that SIVOO has signed on as a major sponsor for IFFLA. The SIVOO IFFLA website will offer free behind the scenes access to exclusive content from the festival.

The site will feature exclusive content, including interviews with Indian actors, directors and producers that are showing and starring in films being shown at the festival. In addition, the SIVOO website will feature red carpet footage, giving online communities a special behind the scenes experience by connecting them directly with the stars of the IFFLA.

“We’re extremely excited to be sponsoring this year’s IFFLA, an incredibly important event within the Indian entertainment community. SIVOO looks forward to helping raise positive visibility for IFFLA and the talented directors and actors presenting films at this year’s festival. The new SIVOO Web site will help bring the unique experience of IFFLA to online communities around the world, and as a result, encourage appreciation for Indian films worldwide,” said SIVOO founder, president and CEO Burhan Fatah.

“Our fifth anniversary marks an important milestone for IFFLA. Our collaboration with SIVOO is also key to help us continue our goal to raise awareness and appreciation for Indian cinema for years to come. This year’s film showcase opens with the Los Angeles premiere of Provoked, a film starring Indian actress Aishwarya Rai, and sets the stage for the exciting talent to follow,” said IFFLA director Christina Marouda.
