Mumbai: On 28 November and 5 December eight flicks rush for release at the box office. What’s common amongst them is the fact that they are all small budget concept driven movies.
On 28 November UTV Motion Pictures’ Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Ramesh Sippy Entertainment’s The President Is Coming and Mumbai Mantra’s Sorry Bhai are releasing; whereas on 5 December Dil Kabaddi, Maharathi, Meerabai Not Out, Khallballi and Oh My God will hit screens.
The primary reason why the box office will be flooded with such flicks for two weeks from now is due to the fact that post this no other viable release dates are available for a long time, especially with big films such as Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Ghajini, Chandni Chowk To China, Dilli 6 and Billi Barber releasing back to back mid till February.
Moreover, with the 2008 calendar year coming to an end soon some companies want to release their backlog of films.
