MUMBAI: Nilesh Rane has signed Soham Shah to direct a mega budget film on the Legend, Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The movie will be a 3D film, with special effects done by a crew from Hollywood. The same crew has worked on the special effects in several Hollywood movies including Gladiator.

Shah said, “It’s an honour to be part of Nilesh Rane’s company, it’s a great combination to have a Nileshji and VL Satyam as your producers who can share your vision to bring the epic story together on big screen with the available international technical support. It is one of my most ambitious projects a story that is the epitome of heroism, never told on the big screen.”

Shah will take around two months to complete the movie’s draft that he has been working on since more than a year now. The cast of the movie who will play the roles of Shivaji and Aurangzeb is still under consideration.

Satyam added, “We are happy to have Soham on board, as he has a huge vision that can do justice to a subject like this. Also being a new generation director his story telling will set new standards to our cinema. This is the beginning of Nileshji’s Banner and we have bigger plans to take it to another level.”
