MUMBAI: With an objective to provide a real time experience of 3D television viewing to the Indian consumer, Sony has kick-started a unique 3D world road show campaign, which involves mall and airport consumer activation activities in 31 locations across India.
This activity is expected to give Sony the unique opportunity to connect with the Indian Consumer who is excited about the recent advent of 3D technology in the market.
The consumer promotion activity will involve experiential kiosk set up in 27 malls and three airports and 13 national retail stores across the country. The kiosks would be enclosed from three sides and equipped with 3D Bravia on the front side. The kiosks have been designed on Sony’s global display design guidelines and this is what makes these kiosks unique and helps consumers enjoy the 3D TV viewing experience to the best. A special micro-site has also been created which features the "Road Show Locator" on the website.
Sony India managing director Masaru Tamagawa said, "3D TV viewing is the next big step in Home entertainment. We intend to inform the Indian consumer well about the technology and the experience that they will get so that they can make an informed decision while purchasing a 3D TV set for themselves. The unique design of the Kiosks ensures that consumers get to view the best in 3D TV viewing. The activity will also help us connect with the Indian consumer about their feedback for 3D TV’s and help us customize products which are specific to Indian market."
