MUMBAI: South star Prakash Raj plays the baddie in Rohit Shetty’s next titled Singham.
Singham stars Ajay Devgn and Kajal Aggarwal. While Devgn plays an honest cop in the movie, Raj plays the baddie. Raj was Shetty’s first choice as he played the same role in the original Tamil version which the movie is a remake of.
Raj said, “The unit of Singham is a great bunch of talented and creative people, especially Rohit! He is a gen next director and his working technique is impressive. Not only does he shoot in a fast paced manner, but at the same time also ensures that every shot is perfect and we give our best every single time.”
“The entire unit is like a family and I’m waiting to join Rohit and the entire team for the next schedule,” he added.
Raj was seen last seen playing the bad boy in Wanted and has previously done Hindi films like Shakti-The Power and Khakee.
Singham produced by Reliance Pictures is set to release on 22nd July,2011.
