Uru Patel’s Hanuman to shoot in Morocco

MUMBAI: The much touted project Hanuman is set to go on floors in November. Produced by Uru Patel and directed by Luis Mendoki, the film is set to be shot in Morocco and Canada. The film is also said to be associated with a major international studio, who will aid in marketing it.

In the planning for over two years, all is complete now and even the storyboard is ready. Sources inform that this film is a modern day interpretation and will star Keanu Reeves as Ram, Aseem Merchant as Laxman and Shilpa Shetty will play the role of Sita.

While Shilpa Shetty was not available to comment, her co-star Aseem Merchant said, “I am happy to be part of such an interesting project. I’m sure the producer has got some great people onboard. I can’t say much because I am under contract.”

The film is an outright international project, and the characters have been adapted similarly. It is additionally learnt that Merchant is scheduled to play the role of a DJ in the film and has begun preparations for it. This will be Shetty’s first international project since her Celebrity Big Brother win in the UK earlier this year.
