Spy Kids 4 to release in 4D

MUMBAI: Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World is the first movie to come out with the 4D experience or Aroma-scope as director Robert Rodriguez would like it to be known as.

Rodriguez, who has directed all three films of the Spy Kids franchise, will create a sensory experience with onscreen signals to prompt the audience to smell one of eight scents on a special card.

A swipe of a finger is all that’s required to emit a scent during particular scenes in order to enhance the viewing experience.

Rodriguez admits there will be some surprises and jokes with the odors, "We’re going to have to wait till the release for an exceptional experience," he said.

Spy Kids 4 stars Jessica Alba, who plays the secret spy and step mom to the twins, Jeremy Piven is cast as the timekeeper, Antonio Banderas and Ricky Gervais as the voice of the robot dog.
