MUMBAI: Founder Member of Guild, Late Mehboob Khan will be immortalized by the Indian Postal Department through the release of a stamp in honor of his work for Indian cinema. The stamp will be released on 30 March, 2007 in Mumbai.
Mehboob Khan was a film maker par excellence who produced memorable films such as Mother India, Aurat, Andaz, Aan amongst others. He also made noteworthy contribution to the development of the Guild during his tenure as president from 1958 to 1963.
He joins an illustrious company of legendary Guild members such as Dr V. Shantaram (founder member), Bimal Roy and L V Prasad who were also honored posthumously by the Indian Postal Department.
