MUMBAI: This April, STAR Gold International will present a line of films.
Flagging of the blockbuster flavour was the Jabardast Janamdin festival which celebrated the birthday of Ajay Devgan with Diljale on 2 April and will celebrate Ayesha Takia’s birthday with Wanted on 10 April.
Following which on the first Saturday of the month Baghban starring Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini was showcased in Special Gold on 3 April at 8pm. This was followed by the Easter Sunday special film, Chandni Chowk to China starring Akshay Kumar on 4 April.
Two unique film festivals Vardi Ki Shaan a festival honoring the heroes who protect our country will air films like Qayamat city under threat and multi-starrer Heroes on 12 and 16 April respectively. The second festival, Khoobsurat Yaadein will be dedicated to the golden memories of yesteryears, from 19 to 23 April and will showcase evergreen hits like Guide starring Dev Anand and Sargam starring Rishi Kapoor on 19 and 21April respectively.
Besides these there is a lineup of hits, Dhamaka Premiere which will air Ajay Devgan and Ayesha Takia starrer Sunday on 17 April and suspense thriller Race on 24 April. Followed by Amitabh Bachchan starrer Aladin that is the Blockbuster of the Month. Drawing the month to a close is the Super hit of the Month, Jannat that deals with the betting racket to be aired on 30 April.
