Star Gold to celebrate 60 years of Independence


MUMBAI: This August, Star Gold is all set to celebrate the spirit of 60th year Indian Independence by showcasing best of heart warming patriotic movies, latest Bollywood blockbusters and Hollywood premieres.


Star Gold will present ‘Chak De Hindustan’ a three day festival of blockbuster patriotic movies beginning 13 August – 15 August. The highlight of the festival is the premiere of recent patriotic movie – 1971. The other movies to be aired include Rang De Basanti, Swades, Zameen, Main Hoon Na, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Sarfarosh, 23 March 1931 – Shaheed, The Hero and Khakee.


On 6 August, Star Gold will be airing some of Kajol’s biggest hits like Raju Chacha, Dil Kya Kare and Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Beginning 19 August, Star Gold will be airing the premiere of latest blockbuster movies in Monday World Premiere. Catch the comedy Bheja Fry on 19 August and Darwaza Band Rakho on 27 August at 8:30 pm.


For the Hollywood fans, Star Gold will premiere The Chronicle of Narnia dubbed in Hindi) on 18 August at 8 pm. The other Hollywood line up includes; Stuart Little 2, Baby’s Day Out, Home Alone, Agent Cody Banks and Spy Kids 1.
