Star TV acquires satellite rights of Eros International’s Housefull and Veer

MUMBAI: Star TV has acquired the satellite rights of Eros International’s forthcoming comic caper starring Akshay Kumar – Housefull and the recently released Salman Khan starrer Veer.

Housefull, which hits theatres on 30 April is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Sajid Khan. It also stars Arjun Rampal, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan and Boman Irani. On the other hand Veer also stars Zarin Khan, Mithun Chakraborty and Jackie Shroff and was released in January this year.

Star Gold general manager Sameer Rao said, "We are pleased to have acquired the exclusive satellite TV rights for films such as Veer and Housefull. For us, this represents yet another significant deal in our continuing and fruitful business relationship with Eros."

Eros president – distribution Pranab Kapadia added "This deal signifies yet another step towards cementing further our strong relationship with major TV Networks like Star. We try to tailor-make packages to suit the audiences on each network so that both sides can maximise the potential from the television broadcast."
