MUMBAI: After playing at many film festivals across Europe in 2008, the Asian premiere of Santosh Sivan’s Tahaan is set to take place at the 2009 Hong Kong International Film Festival on 26 March. This will be followed by an additional screening of the film on 3 April.
Tahaan premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2008, after which it was showcased at film festivals such as Rome, Cinekid, London and Pusan to name a few.
As was earlier reported by Businessofcinema.com, Tahaan will also be shown at the Stockholm International Film Festival, New York International Children’s Film Festival, Fribourg International Film Festival, Cairo International Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, Titanic International Film Festival (Hungary) and the Movies that Matter (Amsterdam) Showcase sponsored by the Amnesty International this year.
Tahaan stars Anupam Kher, Sarika, Rahul Bose, Rahul Khanna and Victor Banerjee and has been produced by IDream Production and Santosh Sivan Films.
