Mumbai: Online service TinselVision that delivers Indian and Bollywood entertainment content across the world announced the pilot and global premier of its new Bollywood film review program Tinsel Takes. The show is hosted by film critic and columnist Mayank Shekhar.

Tinsel Takes will air weekly this Spring, free of charge to viewers, at http://www.tinselvision.com in the free content zone and beginning in June within the ChannelMine community pages. The pilot episode airs alongside popular programs like Inside Tinsel and a fast expanding line-up of short-form and serial content from Zoom TV, B4U Networks and other providers, extending further Tinsel’s promise to become the online Bollywood destination of choice.

TinselVision recently began broadcasting a rich and growing combination of proprietary content, exclusive shorts, and well known infotainment, news and other advertising-supported, on-demand programming at no cost to its viewers via its web service, online communities, television peripherals such as the Xbox and Media Center PC and, through mobishorts distributed to select mobility partners in key target markets.

"The percent of our online visitors watching Tinsel custom programming is skyrocketing, having doubled each month for the last three months," says the company’s VP of content Saad Shervani. "This is one among several clear signals for us to rapidly expand our offerings of short form, high-velocity viewing content types such as comedy and celebrity segments, news and music entertainment. We continue to invest in and advance our expertise in this secondary competency as a key tool in audience building and premium content promotion."

The May premiere of Tinsel Takes will showcase the latest Bollywood films — keeping TinselVision viewers up-to-date and in-the-know on the hot and not-so-hot movie releases each week. Tinsel Takes contemplates an initial season of 16 episodes and, offers Bollywood’s leading producers an unprecedented opportunity to raise global awareness for their films in an instant, in the explosively popular short format, to millions of viewers eager for quality content and compelling reviews.
