MUMBAI: Toonz Animation has commenced work on an international animation movie based on Santa Claus. Titled Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, the movie is being made on a budget of $ 15 million.
The movie will be directed by Tom T (ex-Disney and Marvel Studios). It is a 3D animation movie. The movie is targeted at the international markets and will be made in English language. "We have collaborated with Hyde Park for the distribution of the film," informs Toonz Animation India chief executive officer P Jayakumar.
Toons Animation India chief creative officer Hari Varma adds, "Currently the pre- production work is underway in Los Angeles with animation studio G7. The production of the film will commence from June this year in India."
The movie will be released during 2009 Christmas.
