MUMBAI:Music company T-Series conducted a raid on 19 July at Lokhandwala, Andheri, Mumbai and recovered over 1880 CDs, DVDs, MP3s of recent movies.
The movies are: Wanted, Ready, Double Dhamaal, Buddhah Hoga Tera Baap, Delhi Belly and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The raid was conducted by staff from the Oshiwara Police Station.
Sanjay Bapi Das has been remanded to Police custody for seven days and has been booked under the section of the Copyright Act, vide FIR no:- C.R. No- 362/11 and the property confiscated is valued at Rs 2,18,500.
T-Series creative head Divya Khosla Kumar, "It is sad that we do not look at piracy as theft. We have to conduct regular raids to safeguard the interest of filmmakers who face losses due to piracy.”
