Mumbai: Unisys Infosolutions, digital provider of VAS content and enterprise messaging solutions, has acquired the distribution rights for streaming of over 200 movies on popular online movie hosting portals such as Youtube BoxOffice and Yahoo! Movies.

With this acquisition, the company has become one of the largest independent premium video content distributors in India. The content has been made available via UnisysMusic, a division of Unisys Infosolutions, which has over 30 lakh video views on its Youtube channel.
 
Unisys Infosolutions founder and managing director Shelley Chaudhury said, “The upload views and subscriber base on UnisysMusic is a testament of our commitment to blend in the best of entertainment content with state-of-the art video technology. The acquisition of over 200 movie rights is a step ahead in meeting the channel’s goal of offering unmatched premium content. More than 100 of these full-length videos will be available on Youtube BoxOffice and Yahoo! Movies by month-end.”
 
Unisys Infosolutions co-founder & executive director Sumeet Singh added, “We are focusing on leveraging the digital medium for making entertainment available to internet-savvy audiences. Initially, we will be making 100 of these movies available as short films for those who do not have time to watch the full-length movie.”
