MUMBAI: UTV has launched UTV Action Telugu in Andhra Pradesh. South star Chiranjeevi graced the launch of the channel by unveiling the logo.
UTV Action Telugu will showcase fast – paced action content from Hollywood in Telugu giving viewers a chance to enjoy their favourite action flicks.
UTV Action Telugu will reach out to the action oriented male audience in the age group of 15 years and above looking for the ultimate action destination in Andhra. It builds on the success of UTV Action Hindi which enjoys the largest loyalty among male viewers in the Hindi speaking markets and boasts of supreme quality dubbing.
Foraying into Andhra with an action packed library, the channel will showcase films like Hellboy, Book of Eli, Angels and Demons, The Bounty Hunter, Bad Boys and Karate Kid amongst others. On the first day of the launch the channel will telecast back to backHollywood titles like Spiderman, Kung Fu Hustle, XXX, Men in Black, Hancock and The One.
UTV Action Telugu has put together a thrilling action packed weekend slot for its viewers and will captivate them with key properties like ‘Saturday Premiere Gharjanaa’ and ‘Sunday Sungramam’along with a special creature feature slot on Monday -‘Monday Maha Monster’. In a bid to bring the best of action content to its viewers, the channel will also showcase Telugu premieres of popular titles released last year within three months of their Indian television premiere.
