Jiah Khan has inked a deal with UTV for two of their upcoming films. Khan will no longer be a part of Ken Ghosh’s Shahid Kapoor starrer with UTV. Instead they have signed her for two other films.
UTV Motion Pictures clarifies on industry rumors about Khan being dropped from Gosh’s next film with UTV. Screen play writer Nupur Asthana & dialogue writer Kiran Kotriyal who were earlier working on the story, were joined by dialogue writer Manurishi Chadda. After which there were certain creative changes that were made in the film script, further to which Khan and UTV mutually agreed that the role scripted did not befit Khan.
“With the changes they made on the script and the character, I myself felt that I do not suit the character. However, my relationship with UTV remains the same and they have signed me for two of their future films to be started later this year,” said Khan
“Speculations in the industry about Jiah Khan being dropped out of Ken Ghosh’s project are completely erroneous. It was a mutual decision whereby Jiah opted out of the project seeing a misfit between the character and Jiah. Jiah Khan is a wonderful actor with some amazing talent. We have signed Jiah for our next projects and really looking forward to working with her,” says UTV Rampage Motion Pictures COO Ram Mirchandani.
