UTV Television to launch three new regional shows

MUMBAI: UTV Television announced the launch of three new shows in the regional space. Reinstating its strong hold in the south with Ratha Saptami and Rakta Sambandham and marking its entry into the Marathi genre with Anamika.

 

Anamika, a family suspense thriller, which will go on-air on 23 November and will be telecast six days a week – Monday to Saturday – at 9pm on ETV Marathi.

 

Ratha Sapthami, which will witness a Monday – Friday telecast at 7pm on Udaya TV (Kannada), will also hit the TV screens on the same day.

 

Raktha Sambandham is programmed to go on-air on 30 November at 7.30pm on Gemini TV (Telugu), from Monday to Friday.

 

UTV Television COO Santosh Nair said, "We have been prominent players in the Hindi market and also in the South, having produced many shows on the Sun Network. With Anamika, UTV Television now marks its entry into the Marathi space too. Regional content has today become a prominent segment witnessing steady growth and we at UTV Television are extremely bullish about this segment. We expect these three shows to be a hit with the audiences."
