Mumbai: UTV Global Broadcasting Limited (UGBL), the broadcasting arm of UTV Software Communications, will launch its two movie channels on the Dialog TV platform in Sri Lanka.
UGBL has collaborated with Sri Lanka’s largest DTH platform Dialog TV, to bring to the Sri Lankans World Movies and UTV Movies.
UGBL executive director Shantonu Aditya said, "Sri Lanka is a key market for media consumption in South Asia and with Dialog TV as our partner, we are confident of reaching out our content to the right audiences. The Sri Lankan viewer has a taste for quality entertainment and we are sure our content will surpass their expectations."
After having launched five channels in India in a span of six months, UGBL is now expanding its footprint in the overseas markets.
Dialog TV chief executive officer Nushad Perera said, "At Dialog TV we are always looking for new channels that will provide our customer with a superior entertainment experience. As a Sri Lankan DTH television service provider, we have found a huge need for good quality entertainment. I believe that our partnership with UTV Broadcasting will enhance our infotainment platform through its high quality entertainment."
