Mumbai: UTV World Movies is set to present a French movie festival in association with The French Embassy and Alliance Francaise de Delhi.
The festival will screen Krzysztof Kieslowski’s three colors trilogy series—Three Colors: Blue, White and Red along with the award-winning film A Short Film About Love. These will be screened at Alliance Francaise de Delhi between 2 to 5 July respectively.
Kieslowski’s trilogy, that also represents the three colors on the French Flag, will be aired from 7 pm onwards. The festival comes in view of the approaching Bastille Day (French National Day) on 14 July.
Three Colours: Blue shared the Golden Lion at Venice in 1993; Three Colours: White earned him the best director prize in Berlin, 1994; and Three Colours: Red brought him an Academy Award nomination for best director in 1995. A Short Film About Love won the Outstanding Achievement in Foreign Film Award.
UTV Entertainment Television Limited COO Dilshad Master says, "We are proud to associate with The French Embassy and Alliance Française de Delhi for this movie festival. Through these movie screenings we promise to entertain movie lovers and bring to them an experience like never before."
Another key highlight of this extraordinary movie festival is the World Movies contest. At the event, viewers can participate in the World Movies contest and win exclusive World Movies DVDs.
