Vh1 to air reality show The Real World in India


MUMBAI: Vh1 will air the US reality show The Real World for the very first time in India.

After the Big Brother sensation, Vh1 is taking reality television to the next level with The Real World-Denver, the 18th season of the show. Further strengthening the 10 pm block, the show premiered on 23 February and will air from Monday to Friday at 10 pm.

The Real World focuses on a group of diverse strangers living together for several months in a different city each season. This season the cameras follow their lives and interpersonal relationships through the city of Denver. It showcases the uncensored, unedited version of real people’s lives and catches them in the act of being themselves as the format of the show allows the contestants to live together, work together and move about in public.

Vh1 India associate general manager Ferzad Palia says, "At Vh1, our endeavor is always to showcase the best of international music and lifestyle to Indian audiences. After the stupendous success of Big Brother, we wanted to keep the momentum going for reality shows on Vh1 and hence have brought down one of the biggest and longest running reality shows from the US – The Real World.
