The film directed by Robert Lieberman will revolve around the theme of ice-hockey for which Kumar has roped in Vinay Virmani to play the lead.
Canadian born Virmani, an exceptional ice hockey player from the Canadian South Asian community has attended the Lee Streesberg Theatre and Film Institute and will play the prime role in the sports centric film.
Says a source “Since this is Kumar’s first Hollywood venture he decided to produce a film based on sports.”
Breakaway also stars the Canadian born Emily Van Camp.
