MUMBAI: Sanjay Gupta’s White Feather Films and Mumbai Mantra unveiled the first look of their forthcoming film Acid Factory on 20 July.

The film stars Danny Denzongpa, Manoj Bajpai, Irrfan Khan, Fardeen Khan, Aftab Shivadasani, Dia Mirza and Dino Morea with special appearances by Gulshan Grover and Bajpai’s wife Shabana.

Except for Denzongpa the entire cast was present for the event. The event, which was anchored by Manasi Scott and Rohit Roy was also attended by director Suparn Verma, producer Sanjay Gupta, action director Tinnu Verma and Mumbai Mantra Media CEO Andrey Purushottam among others.

Purushottam said, "I think the action genre in Indian cinema has finally come of age. This is the most fast paced action thriller that Bollywood has ever seen. Hollywood has always been a step ahead of us in the action genre but I am hopeful that with Acid Factory that gap will be closed. I think Acid Factory beats any Hollywood action packed film."

Suparn added, "Shooting the film was one of the craziest experiences. We have shot on land, at sea and in air. The surprise packet of the film is Dia who has a lot of action in the film unlike her delicate look in her previous films."

The music is by Bappa Lahiri, Gourov Dasgupta, Manasi Scott and Shamir Tandon; cinematography is by Sahil Kapoor, story is by Milind Gadakar, screenplay is by Gupta and Suparn and the dialogues have been written by Saurabh Shukla.

The film has been in shot extensively in South Africa and Ramojirao Filmcity, Hyderabad. It is slated for release on 3 September, 2009.
