MUMBAI: Marathi movie channel Zee Talkies will showcase Ashok Saraf film festival from 30 May to 4 June.
Saraf is a popular Marathi film star, who has also worked in Hindi television and films. Known for his versatile acting skills, he has done some extraordinary performances as an actor in his career span of more than 35 years.
Zee Talkies has decided to celebrate the occasion of the actor’s birthday which is on 4 June. The channel will air the actor’s old and latest films through the week.
The festival will start with the film Saade Maade Teen on 30 May staring Ashok Saraf, Makrand Anaspure and Bharat Jadhav. On 31 May, Bin Kamacha Navra, a funny movie about a lazy husband will be shown.
Nishani Daava Angatha, a film which portrays the picture of how educational institutes in village runs, will be aired on 1 June. A comic film with totally unconventional story, Aaitya Gharat Gharoba starring Sachin, Lakshmikant Berde with Ashok Saraf, will be shown on 2 June. The movie will be followed by Ek Daav Dhobipachhad on 3 June.
Dada Dandge, which stars famous faces from Marathi industry like Prasad Oak, Mukta Barve, Sanjay Mone, Pushkar Shrotri etc and is directed by Satish Rajwade, will also be aired. On the occasion of Saraf’s birthday, the film festival will be concluded on 4 June with Ashi Hi Banvabanvi.
