The star studded 60th Filmfare Awards 2015 awards had some great winning categories including the best film, best director, best actress and many more.
While not a surprising Queen bagged five awards for best editing Abhijit Kokate and Anurag Kashyap, best cinematography Bobby Singh and Siddharth Diwan and best background score for Amit Trivedi.
With no doubt actress Kangana Ranaut bagged best actress award for her movie Queen.
Vishal Bharadwaj’s Haider was not behind to receive awards back to back. The movie bagged five honours including best actor award for Shahid Kapoor and best supporting honours for Tabu and Kay Kay Menon.
Highway actress Alia Bhatt bagged the best actress (Critics) trophy for Highway and Sanjay Mishra won the best actor (Critics) for his outstanding performance in ‘Ankhon Dekhi‘.
Pakistani actor Fawad Khan won best debut male award for Khoobsurat and Kriti Sanon won best debut female award for Heropanti.
While the most controversial film of 2014 PK bagged just two awards for Best Screenplay Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi and Best Dialogue Abhijat Joshi and Rajkumar Hirani.
Trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy won best music director for their work in 2 States. Best lyrics honour went to Rashmi Singh for ‘Muskurane’ from CityLights.
Ankit Tiwari won best male playback singer for ‘Galiyaan‘ from Ek Villain and Kanika Kapoor was named best female playback singer for ‘Baby Doll’ from Ragini MMS 2.
The lifetime achievement award was given to veteran actress Kamini Kaushal for her outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.
The awards night had the great performances by Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and many more.
The grand night was hosted by Kapil Sharma and Karan Johar.
