Known for his research and execution, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali had to face loads of criticism after the release of the song Pinga from ‘Bajirao Mastani’. Descendants of the warrior Peshwa Bajirao wrote an open letter to the filmmaker stating that his historical facts and ideas have gone haywire. The letter also suggested that the portrayal of the characters is misleading.
