MUMBAI: Biopics are not exactly Bollywood’s favourite type of film, but that looks to be changing. Milkha Singh’s biopic, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra had a pre-screening last night and Bollywood celebrities were in full attendance.
Amitabh Bachchan led the way at the screening, even graciously choosing to talk to some of the media present at the site. He also found the the movie “emotionally and creatively” moving, as he said on Twitter.

Farhan Akhtar himself was spotted at the screening with his father Javed Akhtar, who was present to witness his son’s latest effort on the big screen, along with his wife Shabana Azmi. Also, in attendance were other eminent Bollywood personalities like Alka Yagnik and Satish Kaushik, who we were seeing after a long time.
Among the ladies, Sandhya Mridul and Dia Mirza too were present at the screening.
So far, word for the film has been very strong. ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ releases this Friday, 12 July, 2013.
