Athiya posed for the media and interacted with them. Later, blew a flying kiss while walking the ramp. When asked about comparisons with Sonam Kapoor, she said “Sonam is the best style icon in Bollywood. Nobody can be compared to her. She has made mark of her own, she is beautiful and one of the most talented actresses we have today”. She also added that her style is very simple and comfy. She said “I’m a simple person. I am happy to wear whatever is comfortable for me. I don’t necessarily wear everything which is in style, but something which suits the body type. One should wear clothes which flatter you and make you feel comfortable and confident,”.

As of now, she is focussed on working hard towards success. “I have just made an entry in Bollywood and have many more things to learn,” she said, adding that her New Year resolution would be “hard work and patience”.

Athiya is also the new face of Maybelline New York brand. Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty made her Bollywood debut this year in ‘Hero’ under Salman Khan’s production house. She made her debut with another newcomer Sooraj Pancholi.

On her career front, Athiya is currently going through a lot of scripts and will announce her next film as soon as she chooses one.
