Early Career: Rajinikanth made his debut in cinema with Tamil film Apoorva Raagangal released in 1975, helmed by Balachander. For the first handful of films, Rajinikanth got negative roles in movies that marked the beginning of his career and he played his first positive role in the film Bhuvana Oru Kelivikkuri. Since then it was only a start of an era where Rajinikanth would easily become the most followed actor in South cinema especially in the 70s and 80s.
