[tps_footer]Deepika Padukone and Farhan Akhtar attended an event to launch the February 2014 cover page of Filmfare Magazine.
Farhan and Deepika, who picked up the Filmfare Awards recently for their roles in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela respectively, cover the new edition of the magazine.
At the launch, Deepika stunned everyone as she walked in an all-white Zara Crop Top and pencil skirt. She complemented the look with earrings by Eina Ahluwalia and white pumps. Red lips and blue necklace from Le Mill added the pop of color to this look.
While on the magazine cover, Deepika, dressed in a stunning floor length gown by designer Gaurav Gupta, looks gorgeous on the cover page, Farhan looks dapper and smart in a black suit paired with a navy blue shirt.
Deepika’s on-screen chemistry with co-star Ranveer Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela sparked rumours of a romance between the two actors. But both Deepika and Ranveer have refrained from directly commenting on the status of their relationship.
“Chemistry was relevant to the film at that time. What was important for Ranveer and me was to have a good chemistry in a film like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela which is an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. The film was a passionate love story, we needed that kind of chemistry and it worked for the film,” Deepika said at an event.
She said contrary to the perception, the on-screen chemistry cannot be created between two actors. “You cannot create chemistry. Also a director cannot direct chemistry as it is something that actors bring to their characters and to the film. It lies in the comfort level that they share. I believe they cannot create it,” stated a beaming Deepika.
When asked about her forthcoming projects, Deepika stated, “It is too soon to say anything. I like to talk about the projects that I am doing. It is unfair to talk about films for which things are not finalized as it leads to unnecessary reporting. It gets messy. Officially, I am doing my next film with Imtiaz Ali which will have Ranbir Kapoor.”
